If you have an existing Boom account and are interested in using our Google Add-On, you can transfer control of your account to a school managed account. You must be part of a school managed account in order to use our Google Add-On.


What does it mean to transfer control of your account to your school?

If you choose to Transfer control of your account to the school, the school will gain the following controls over your account: 

  • The ability to delete all students.
  • The ability to revoke your subscription.
  • The ability to add or remove points from your account.
  • The ability to reassign your account to another teacher.


If your account is currently associated with your personal email address and you are interested, you will need to update the email address in your account to your school email address. 




If you do not want to Transfer Control of your account to your school and your primary email address in your account is your school email address, you will need to update the email and Google Sign in Assistant in your account to a non-school affiliated email address.

Please keep in mind that this is only applicable for teachers whose schools already have a school managed account.
